Antifouling Survey

An opportunity for all to contribute

The International Maritime Organisation, a specialised agency of the United Nations which is responsible for regulating shipping, is asking for information from yacht owners to contribute to a worldwide project to address the spread of aquatic invasive species.

Respondents will be asked about their location, what kind of anti-fouling paint or system they use, where they moor and winter their boats, preference for cleaning, and the challenges they face when antifouling their vessels.

The IMO are also asking boatyard owners and marinas, which provide antifoul services, to take part.

Survey results will help identify more efficient ways for all boat owners to prevent biofouling.
