Xmas Lunch Bookings from 5 Dec – Bookings are being taken for Xmas lunches. If you wish to book a Xmas lunch please book via the office to confirm availability.

We will be closed on completion of Staff drinks on 17 Dec until 5th Jan 22. The first day of trading in the Clubhouse will be Fri 7 Jan 22 and includes the meat raffle.

Covid Update – With a significant number of case numbers being reported we ask that members and their guests follow our current guidelines and be aware of the mitigation measures we have in place. We would encourage our members and their guests to take a lateral flow test before attending any large event or function in the Club. We would also encourage those members who are eligible for the Covid jabs and boosters to arrange for a vaccination if they have not already done so.

Current COVID guidelines:
The wearing of face coverings within the Clubhouse will be a personal choice for members and their guests.
There will be no covid related limits on numbers but will limit numbers for main functions
A bar service is available and we will continue to provide a table service within the restaurant and at outside tables for those who choose not to order at the bar
Mitigation Measures:
We will continue to have risk mitigation in place and promote good health and hygiene practices:
If you are feeling unwell do not visit the Clubhouse
Use hand sanitisers when entering the Clubhouse
Use windows and doors to maintain ventilation flow
We continue to encourage table bookings
Regular cleaning and sanitising of facilities
COVID-19 will be a feature of our lives for the foreseeable future, so we need to learn to live with it and manage the risk to ourselves and others.

Safety in the Marina and Boat Lay-Up Areas – As the winter weather arrives please be extra careful and keep yourselves and others safe and clear of accidents. If you do have an accident or a near miss please make sure this is reported to either the Club Secretary or the Marina Manager. An accident or near miss report form is at the link. Think safety at all times.

Ladders – This is a timely reminder to those on lay up to ensure that your ladders are in a serviceable condition and all ladders are tied on and secure before use. Already we have had accidents where ladders are not secured and tied on. The majority of our accidents are due to ladders not fit for purpose or not secured.


A defibrillator is available inside the main entrance to the Clubhouse and is available 24/7. If you need to use in an emergency, it is simple to use and all instructions are given once activated. No prior training is required.


Showing of ID Cards – Please remember to carry and show your Club membership ID cards on entry and when leaving the establishment. Please do not challenge the MGS staff if you are reminded to show your IDs. Visitors to site are to be booked in and carry photo ID. See link BELOW for a Visitor Form
