INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Hornet Services Sailing Club clubhouse, a unique and historic building that originally served as the wardroom for HMS Hornet during the Second World War.
Today, the clubhouse provides a warm and friendly place for members, visitors, and guests to relax, socialise, and enjoy everything Hornet Services Sailing Club has to offer. We are delighted to welcome members of the Armed Forces and Reserves, sailors visiting Hornet-based boats, Yacht Club Rallies and those attending JSASTC courses.
OPENING TIMES AND MENU
Our bar and restaurant are open every day, offering a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a meal, a drink, or simply good company. Current opening times and our latest menu can be found below.
FACILITIES
The Club's social team organises a varied programme of formal and informal events throughout the year, bringing members together both on and off the water. You can view upcoming events on our Calendar page.
In addition to our social programme, the clubhouse is available to hire for private events, including:
- Top Table dinners
- Formal Dining in Nights
- Weddings
- Christenings
- Birthday celebrations
- Wakes and memorial gatherings
- Family and social occasions
We also warmly welcome members of the Armed Forces and Reserves looking for a venue for all-ranks events.

Bar and Restaurant
Ideal for larger celebrations and events:
- Seated dining for up to 90 guests, with silver service available
- Hot and cold buffet options for up to 150 guests
Fabrosa Room
A flexible space suitable for both social and business events:
- Seated dining for up to 60 guests, with silver service available
- Hot and cold buffet options for up to 80 guests
- Meetings, talks, training sessions and presentations, with IT equipment available on request
Blue Room
A comfortable setting for smaller gatherings:
- Seated dining for up to 10 guests, with silver service available
- Meetings for up to 10 attendees
Lawn and Patio Area with BBQ
Enjoy our outdoor space overlooking the waterfront, perfect for informal gatherings, summer events, and BBQs.
