                TONIGHT....PICKLE NIGHT.......

We look forward to welcoming some of you this evening from 1930 for our annual Pickle Night!
There is a coat rail outside of the office you are welcome to make use of.
A reminder that only the accessible toilet is available inside the clubhouse. There are a further six portaloos at the side of the mast shed and two at the back of the mast shed.
The RNLI Christmas card sale will be on 7th November from 1000-1200, please pop in and support them if you can. The galley will be serving breakfast during this time. Please note from 1200 the galley will only be serving soup, chilli and fish & chips.
Remembrance Service & Lunch
The Motor Gun Boat 81 is now berthed in the Marina ready for Sunday. Medusa will also be in the Marina and is planning to be open to visitors. Please arrive by 1030 for a 1044 start. Gates will be closed throughout the duration of the service.
To ensure the lunch service runs smoothly, we will be working from a table plan. Once seated, you will be advised table by table when it is your turn to go up for carvery. As we have nearly 120 people booked for lunch, please be patient with the team whilst we do our best to make sure everyone is served as quickly as practically possible. To help everything run as planned, please could we request that you do not join the queue for food until you are asked to.
We will have both the Fabrosa and Bar in use as dining rooms and very much look forward to welcoming you all.
Armistice Day – Wed 11 Nov - On behalf of JSASTC, all are invited to gather at 1055 hrs at the memorial opposite Hornet SSC to observe the two-minute silence. A single gun salute will be fired from HMNB Portsmouth at 1100 hrs to mark the start of the silence, with a second round fired at the end of the two-minute period.

Electric in FB3
Thank you for your ongoing patience to those members who have been left without electric in FB3 for the last few weeks. We have been chasing a re-installation date for this, and although we don't yet have a confirmed date, it is still planned for the coming weeks. Over the last week or so, we have explored several generator options and whilst we had hoped to provide this, the fuel costs would be astronomical. The Committee considered the costs but with a generator cost of £350 per week, and a fuel cost of approximately £800 per day, the costs are simply not affordable for the Club. The decision was therefore made to wait for the time being until the electric has been reinstated.
I appreciate this is disappointing news and can only apologise for the inconvenience this causes but this is unfortunately something outside of the Club's control, and a consequence of being a tenant on MOD land. We are liaising with the relevant authorities to try and resolve this as quickly as we can. I will update as soon as we have more information.
