Battle of Britain Dinner - Saturday 19th September - 7pm Join us for our annual Battle of Britain Dinner, an evening of remembrance and camaraderie as we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who defended Britain during the summer and autumn of 1940. The evening will feature a traditional dinner followed by a fascinating guest talk from Mike Bennett. Mikes talk will be based on a flight of Hurricanes from 249 Squadron, based at Boscombe Down. Poole rally 29th - 31st August A rally to Poole, Town Quay will take place departing Hornet on 29 Aug 26. The tides look favourable for a single day transit, arriving into Poole around 1600hrs. Members are welcome to arrive either Sat or Sun, should they wish to overnight on route. Departures can be either Sun or Mon. Sign up is now open, and 6 boats have already entered. Building 98 There has been a slight delay to the works to Building 98 and it has now been confirmed that the works will start on Wednesday 26 August. Electrical isolation and water isolation are still planned to take place on 26th August too. The contractors will begin works from Tuesday 1st September and this is planned to continue until the end of September. We will share any further updates we receive.
