TRAFALGAR NIGHT DINNER - SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Trafalgar Night Dinner on Saturday, we hope you all had a wonderful evening! We have received lots of lovely feedback for the event, including a letter from Guest of Honour Rear Admiral David Snelson CB, which you can read below.

FULL SITE LOCKDOWN - SUNDAY 25th OCTOBER 1400-1700

A reminder that there is a full site lockdown this Sunday 25th from 1400, due to a planned protest moving along Haslar Road and into Gosport town. At the moment the lockdown is planned to be between 1400 & 1700 and there will be no access in, or out, of the site during this time. Please keep in mind the closure could be extended into the evening depending on the levels of disruption within the area. Unless there are any unexpected changes, the clubhouse will close at 1300.

Pickle Night - Friday 6th November

This year’s Pickle Night celebration will again be subtly different from the traditional format.

Rather than members forming gun crews and performing, we are being entertained by Shep Woolley and his band, which comprises of a French contingent as well as the British. We will get to hear both sides of the story!

The Jack Tars among us will know what to expect from Shep Woolley. If you are not familiar with him, prepare yourselves for a memorable evening of nautical revelry, and bring your singing voice with you! He will make you sing, make you think, make you laugh – and probably make you cry!

The theme is a humorous but poignant musical narrative of the events of 1805, from the build up to the Battle of Trafalgar to the return of HMS Pickle with the news of the great victory and of Lord Nelson’s death.

There will be a tot on arrival, and each table will need to appoint a Mess Cook to help serve the meal.

Please dress the part if you can – matelots, wenches, pirates and parrots all welcome!

Hands to Action Stations from 19:30

Booking to all other members & guests is now open! To book, please complete the booking form below:
