HM The King Gun Salute Coronation Day 6 May 2026 - KHM Portsmouth LNTM No. 57/26

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King's Harbour Master Portsmouth that to celebrate the anniversary of His Majesty the Kings Coronation, on Wednesday 6 May 2026 His Majestys Naval Base Portsmouth will conduct a Gun Salute from the southern point of South Railway Jetty at 1200. 

2. To ensure safety during the firing, as allowed in the provisions of the Dockyard Port of Portsmouth Order 2005, KHM will impose an exclusion zone for all marine traffic as shown in the diagram below. Large traffic to/from the Naval Base or Portsmouth International Port will be held or have its speed adjusted to ensure the exclusion zone is clear. Ministry of Defence Police launches and KHM Patrol will ensure small craft keep out of the exclusion zone.  

3. All mariners are advised to remain clear of this exclusion zone. A sécurité broadcast will be made by Portsmouth VTS enacting the exclusion zone at 1150. A further broadcast will be made to disestablish the exclusion zone immediately on completion of the event.
