Ladies and Gentlemen,

A quick reminder that the new bar menu is in operation. We have updated our breakfast and lunch menus and re-introduced the kids menu so please pop in next time you're passing and try these out. 

Electricity FB3.  The invoices for electricity are being generated and will be sent out shortly.  If you are still using the cable on FB3 please let us have the meter reading, if you still have the cable but no longer using it please return it to the Marina Office

Change to weekend Bar and Galley opening hours. The Bar and Galley will open on Saturdays at 0800hrs and on Sunday the Bar will remain open until 1700hrs. We will maintain these timings for this season to see if they are valued and review at the end of the summer.

An Evening with Shep Woolley - 12th June 2026

We are very pleased to be welcoming back to the clubhouse Shep Woolley on Friday 12th June at 1930. If you would like to join us for food first, John will be offering a selection of Tacos from the new summer menu, please book in advance via functions@hornetservicessailing.org.uk.

Rally to Hamble - 13th-14th June 2026

Please join us for a family friendly HSSC rally to Hamble, RAF Yacht club. Opportunity exists for a club meal out on Saturday evening in Hamble village or alternatively at the RAF Yacht Club. Please book on via our website; Cruising : Hornet Services Sailing Club

Portsmouth Regatta and Tempest Nationals - 19th-21th June 2026

Sign up is still open for the Portsmouth regatta 2026, hosted by HSSC this year, and a combined effort between HSSC, PSC, CCRC and RNSA - Friday will sea the Pompey Cup whilst Saturday and Sunday will see the regatta. 

PSC will be hosting the Saturday night entertainment. It looks set to be a fun weekend, competed under Free YTC for yachts, as well as the Victory Class Spithead regatta and Tempest Nationals. Sign up here:

In addition, Hornet are hosting the Tempest Championship where 15 Tempests are expected from around the UK, including 7 Hornet Tempests (one of which 1 is the favourite to win). During the evening of Saturday 20th June, the Tempest sailors will be in the clubhouse if anyone would like to come along to meet them and 'Talk Trapeze'. There are also 4 MK1 Tempests available if any member fancies having a try please contact Derek Budden via derekofcrazyhorse@sky.com.

Royal Institute of Navigation Talk on National Coastwatch Institution 26th June 2026

There will be a talk on the work of the NCI at 1930 on 26th June.  

Since it was established as a charity in 1994, NCI has maintained a visual and listening watch of the coasts of England and Wales, during daylight hours 365 days a year.

This will be preceded by the galley offering, for this event only from 1800:

  • Tomato and basil pasta £10.95

Armed Forces Day BBQ - 27th June 2026

Families Day, Big Buoys Challenge, BBQ & Music - 18th July 2026

We are excited to have lots going on in the clubhouse and marina during Saturday 18th July;

  • our ever popular families day is running from 13:00, with on the water activities starting from 14:00 (please complete the form below if you would like to participate)
  • the fun Big Buoys challenge, sign up through our website; Racing : Hornet Services Sailing Club
  • tasty BBQ from 17:00 with live music from Jacuzzi Jazz, which anyone is welcome to attend (no requirement to have sailed or joined in with families day!), however to book your food please complete the following form; Saturday 18th July - Families Day and Big Buoys Challenge Fill in form
