Ladies & Gentlemen, We are looking forward to tomorrow's Battle of Britain dinner which is sure to be good night for those attending. We also have lots of other events coming up, so please read on to find out more details and get the dates in your diaries. We have been provided with an updated Visitor Notification Form, which the security staff have stated needs to be used for all requests moving forwards. HSSC Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting Election of Club Commodore 19 Sept 2025 The Club will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Friday 19 September, at 6.30pm in the Clubhouse. The purpose of the EGM is to allow Full Members to elect Mike Shrives as Commodore, in succession to Richard Stokes, handing over at the Clubs Trafalgar Night Dinner on 24 October. Mikes Biography is here: Mike Shrives - Biography The formal EGM Calling Notice & Agenda is here: Notice of 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting Voting is open to all Full Members of the Club, including berth-holders, veteran and honorary life members. The Committee recognises that not all Full Members will either want, or be able, to attend the EGM and there is therefore an opportunity to vote by proxy, electronically, at this link: https://forms.office.com/e/GRyi5CGtjV . It should take no more than a couple of minutes to complete. Alternatively a paper proxy form can be completed and returned by hand, post or email to the Club Office. Proxy votes must be submitted by 4.30pm on Tuesday 16 September. The bar and restaurant will be open after the EGM for normal service. | |||

HSSC Rally 20-21 September to Cowes Shepherds Warf This has been a popular destination in the past. Were supposed to be getting some decent weather after all the current rain so fingers crossed for decent conditions. Sadly I cant go due to work. Sophie may be able to take Cherie but yet to be confirmed. If anyone is interested then please let me know ASAP. There are currently only 3 boats that have confirmed. Ill be looking for a volunteer to lead the rally if Sophie cant make it. So if anyone can be the lead then please let me know. Trafalgar Night Dinner Friday 24 October 2025 We are pleased to open up the booking for this year's Trafalgar Night Dinner. Due to the popularity of this event we are inviting full members (including veterans and honorary) the opportunity to book their space and ONE for a guest over the next two weeks. From 26 September Associate Members will be able to book a space for themselves and ONE guest and Full Members will be able to request spaces for additional guests. Club Night Friday 24 September 2025 This month we are pleased to be welcoming local singer Gary Lynden to our club whilst offering members a taste of Italy.
